Using Wisp

Wisp is licensed to you, not sold. You may install and use it on Macs you own or control. Dictation is free. Wisp Pro, once bought, works on up to three Macs at a time.

What you may not do

• Copy, modify, redistribute, sell, rent or sublicense Wisp or any part of it.
• Decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer Wisp, or extract its models, prompts or rules, except where the law expressly allows it despite this term.
• Get around licence checks, Mac limits or trials, or share one Pro licence across more people than it covers.
• Use Wisp to build a competing product.

Wisp Pro, trials and refunds

• Pro is a one-time payment, processed by Stripe. There's no subscription.
• The free trial is one per person and per Mac.
• Changed your mind within 30 days of buying? We refund you in full; Pro then switches off.
• Rewards (from friends, streaks or writing about Wisp) are free Pro time, can't be exchanged for money, and can be withdrawn if they were gained by abuse.

Your account and your content

An account is only needed for Pro. Keep your email up to date and your sign-in codes to yourself. What you dictate stays on your Mac and is yours; see Privacy for exactly what Wisp sends.

Updates

Wisp updates itself to fix problems and add features. Some updates may be required to keep using features that rely on our server.

No warranty

Wisp is provided as it is. Speech recognition and AI cleanup can make mistakes: check important text before you send it. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months.

Ending

You can stop using Wisp and delete your account at any time. We may suspend Pro for anyone who breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why.
